THE DESIGN PROCESS

The process of commissioning a piece of jewellery might seem daunting but it is actually really fun.

The initial consultation and discussion of design ideas is free of charge. This is when we can talk about different possibilities, your ideas and the budget you may be working to. For a bespoke piece of jewellery my prices start at £500. When we meet I can explain the various options of stone and precious metals and their associated prices

To help you consider the sort of things that you need to think about before we meet I will send you a briefing sheet in advance so we get the most out of our time together
After the briefing, I develop sketches and gradually refine the design with your input. To make sure you can really visualise the design you will see photographic quality images and, if needed, a 3D model will be made for you to check comfort and fit. I want you to be completely confident that you know exactly what to expect in the finished piece. Once you are completely happy with the design, and price has been agreed, a deposit of 50% is requested to secure your commission. We can then talk about a timescale for its completion but it is usually 6-8 weeks from final designs to delivery.

Payment of the balance is made when your piece is finished. The best bit for me is to see your reaction when you try it on for the first time. But if you can't collect it in person I can send it securely via tracked and fully insured mail.
